How to renew your Iraqi passport

Here's the simple version.

Passport renewal is handled by the passport directorate — you can generally apply in person, and some cities offer online appointment booking.

   Most offices allow renewal a few months before expiry.

   Prepare your old passport, national ID and photos (see below).
