Job Opportunity | PAUT Trainer – Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Position: Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing (PAUT) Trainer Location: Iraq – Erbil, Sulaymaniyah, Basrah, Remote / On-site Employment Type: Full-time Industry: Oil & Gas, Engineering, Inspection & Quality Assurance Job Overview An opportunity is available for an experienced Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing (PAUT) Trainer to deliver technical Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) training and certification preparation programs across Iraq. The successful candidate will provide theoretical and practical instruction, develop training materials, and mentor inspectors and QA/QC engineers in advanced ultrasonic inspection techniques in accordance with international NDT standards. Key Responsibilities Deliver classroom and hands-on PAUT training covering theory, calibration, data acquisition, scan planning, and flaw interpretation. Develop and update training materials, laboratory exercises, calibration procedures, and practical assessments. Customize training programs for oil and gas pipelines, storage tanks, pressure vessels, and structural steel applications. Guide trainees in equipment setup, probe selection, focal law configuration, and troubleshooting. Mentor inspectors and QA/QC engineers in advanced ultrasonic inspection and data analysis techniques. Ensure training programs align with relevant international NDT codes and standards. Travel across Iraq to deliver on-site client training when required. Qualifications & Requirements PCN Level II/III or ASNT Level II/III certification in PAUT, with the required ultrasonic testing certification. Degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgy, NDT Technology, or a related field. At least 3 years of practical field inspection experience using PAUT equipment. Experience with Olympus/Evident OmniScan equipment and data analysis software. Strong knowledge of international NDT codes and standards, including ASME Section V and VIII, API 1104, ISO 13588, and ISO 10
