Position Title: Lifting Planner Benefits Company-provided accommodation. Company-provided transportation. Company-provided meals during the work rotation. Opportunity to work on a major international EPC transmission and substation project. Key Responsibilities Prepare and develop detailed lifting plans and lifting studies for construction, installation, and material handling activities in accordance with project requirements, approved procedures, and applicable lifting standards. Review lifting requirements based on equipment weight, dimensions, center of gravity, lifting points, site conditions, access, crane capacity, and required lifting radius. Select appropriate cranes, lifting equipment, accessories, and rigging arrangements based on the approved lifting plan and site conditions. Prepare crane positioning plans, lifting sketches, load charts, rigging arrangements, and other technical documents required for safe lifting operations. Verify crane capacities, working radii, boom configurations, counterweights, ground bearing requirements, and applicable load charts for planned lifting activities. Prepare lifting plans for heavy and critical lifts , including transformers, GIS equipment, switchgear, structural steel, electrical equipment, construction materials, and other major project components. Review and verify the suitability and certification status of cranes, lifting accessories, rigging equipment, spreader beams, shackles, slings, lifting beams, and other lifting equipment prior to use. Coordinate with Construction, Engineering, HSE, QA/QC, Logistics, Equipment, and subcontractor teams to ensure lifting activities are properly planned and executed. Conduct site visits and verify actual lifting conditions, including crane access, working area, ground conditions, obstructions, overhead restrictions, exclusion zones, and equipment positioning. Identify potential lifting hazards and ensure appropriate control measures are incorporated into lifting plans and risk assessments. Support the preparation and review of Method Statements, Risk Assessments, JSA/JHA, Lift Plans, and lifting permits . Ensure that lifting operations comply with approved lifting plans, project procedures, HSE requirements, and applicable international standards. Coordinate with Crane Operators, Lifting Supervisors, Banksmen/Signalmen, Riggers, Site Engineers, and other personnel involved in lifting operations. Provide technical support during lifting operations and make adjustments to lifting plans when site conditions differ from the original plan. Review subcontractor lifting plans and lifting studies and provide technical comments or recommendations where required. Maintain a register of lifting plans and ensure that all required lifting documentation is reviewed, approved, and available before commencement of lifting activities. Verify that cranes and lifting accessories have valid inspection, examination, and certification records before being utilized. Assist in determining crane requirements and provide technical input for crane mobilization, selection, and positioning. Prepare lifting schedules in coordination with the project construction and installation schedule. Monitor planned lifting activities and ensure that critical and complex lifts are adequately planned in advance. Participate in pre-lift meetings, toolbox talks, lifting coordination meetings, and site inspections. Support investigations of lifting-related incidents, near misses, equipment failures, or unsafe conditions and provide technical recommendations where required. Maintain accurate and traceable records of lifting plans, crane documents, lifting equipment certificates, inspection records, and related documentation. Prepare Excel-based lifting registers, crane utilization schedules, lifting equipment trackers, and other planning reports.
