ttech is seeking a motivated Junior Database Administrator to join their data infrastructure team. The successful candidate will work alongside senior engineers to manage database operations, maintain high-availability systems, and support routine maintenance tasks.
• Monitor daily database alerts, server health, disk space, and job execution via SQL Server Agent • Assist with routine maintenance including automated backups, integrity checks, and index maintenance • Execute database restore requests and verify backups across Dev, QA, and Staging environments • Support deployment tickets by running developer-provided DDL/DML scripts and schema migrations • Check synchronization states and replica health for Always On Availability Groups • Monitor blocking locks, long-running queries, and deadlocks using SSMS and basic DMVs • Document system configurations, SOPs, and runbooks
• 0–1 year of experience in database administration, data support, or system administration • Foundational understanding of SQL Server architecture including engines, storage, transaction logs, and data types • Intermediate T-SQL skills including queries and joins
• Interest in growing into Distributed Availability Groups, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB
