Job Opportunity | Iraq Country Director Employer: Free to Run Location: Erbil, Kurdistan Region of Iraq Job Type: Full-Time Deadline: 30 November 2026 Salary: Based on experience About the Role Free to Run is seeking an experienced leader to oversee its operations in Iraq and advance gender equality through community-led programs supporting girls and young women in conflict-affected communities. Key Responsibilities Lead country strategy and organizational growth. Oversee programs, monitoring, and evaluation. Manage recruitment, staff development, and team performance. Supervise budgets, financial reporting, and operations. Build donor relationships and secure funding opportunities. Develop partnerships with NGOs, government authorities, and community organizations. Represent Free to Run locally, regionally, and internationally. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; advanced degree preferred. At least 10 years of relevant professional experience. Minimum 3 years of senior leadership experience. Strong fundraising, donor engagement, and proposal development skills. Experience managing teams, budgets, and NGO operations. Professional fluency in English and Kurdish (Sorani or Badini) or Arabic. Strong understanding of Iraq's development and civil society landscape.
