Alfayhaa Pharmaceuticals (Basra branch) is seeking an experienced General Ledger Accounting Supervisor to oversee accounting activities, ensure accurate financial records, support month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end closing processes, and prepare financial reports.
Supervise general ledger accounts, review journal entries, receivables, provisions and accounting adjustments; coordinate monthly, quarterly and annual financial closing; review account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies; oversee fixed‑asset accounting and depreciation; contribute to preparation of financial statements and management reports; coordinate with accounts payable, accounts receivable, cost accounting, treasury, and financial planning & analysis departments; support internal and external audit processes and strengthen accounting controls and procedures.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; relevant experience in general ledger accounting and financial closing with supervisory responsibilities; strong knowledge of IFRS, accounting adjustments, and fixed‑asset accounting; proficiency in Excel and ERP systems; experience in the industrial or pharmaceutical sector is a plus; professional certifications such as CPA or ACCA are a plus; leadership, analytical, problem‑solving and effective communication skills; high accuracy and ability to meet deadlines.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or ACCA certification (preferred); proven supervisory experience in general ledger accounting; familiarity with IFRS and ERP systems.
