Legion Technologies is building an AIâpowered operating system for the hourly workforce and is hiring a Chief Architect to serve as the most senior handsâon technical leader, shaping the technical foundation for the next decade of product innovation. The role involves deep involvement with engineering teams, writing and reviewing technical designs, making highâconsequence architecture decisions, and turning bold product ambitions into scalable, reliable production systems across AI, optimization, forecasting, scheduling, distributed systems, data platforms, realâtime decisioning, enterprise scalability, security, compliance, and developer productivity.
HandsâOn Architecture and Technical DecisionâMaking: serve as seniorâmost handsâon technical authority, dive into code, design docs, incidents, performance bottlenecks; Lead hardest technical decisions across AI systems, optimization engines, distributed systems, data architecture, reliability, scalability, security, platform modernization; Write prototypes, reference implementations, ADRs, technical specs, design patterns; Make highâconsequence decisions balancing correctness, simplicity, speed, scalability, reliability, cost, maintainability; Challenge architectural drift and unnecessary complexity; Partner with staff, principal, senior engineering leaders in design reviews and implementation planning. Platform Architecture and Technical Vision: define and own longâterm architecture for AIâdriven Workforce Management platform, establish engineeringâwide standards, act as final architectural authority, identify opportunities to reduce complexity and improve efficiency, surface technical debt and risk, create migration paths, ensure enterprise configurability and extensibility.
