Career Opportunity | Team Leader (VDU) – Atina Oil Company Atina Oil Company is seeking an experienced and motivated Team Leader (VDU) to join its Refinery Operations Team in Erbil, Iraq. Position: Team Leader – Vacuum Distillation Unit (VDU) Location: Erbil, Iraq Key Responsibilities: Lead and supervise daily operations of the Vacuum Distillation Unit (VDU). Ensure safe, reliable, and efficient refinery operations. Monitor process performance and optimize unit productivity. Coordinate with Maintenance, Laboratory, and other operational departments. Ensure compliance with HSE policies, procedures, and refinery standards. Lead, train, and support operators to achieve operational excellence. Troubleshoot operational issues and implement corrective actions. Prepare operational reports and communicate unit performance to management. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or a related field. Minimum 5 years of experience in refinery operations, preferably with hands-on VDU experience. Strong leadership and team-management skills. Excellent understanding of refinery processes and operating procedures. Proven ability to troubleshoot refinery operational problems, process upsets, and equipment-related issues. Ability to work under pressure and make sound operational decisions.
